Walking / Hiking

Picture
There are lots of walks, pilgrimages and rambles in Normandy; and over 7000km of trails.  Plenty of exceptional sites to see and lots of information from Manche Tourism website.
We also offer maps for local routes (off track) from La Petite Houssaye and you are welcome to borrow one of our Chocolate Labs to take on your walk.

On horse back

La Manche is horse country! You can take a horse & cart to Mont-Saint-Michel, canter on the beaches, attend one of the fabulous riding schools or visit the Saint-Lo Haras.

Cycling

Picture
There are 1200 km of waymarked bike trails, a bikeway from Cherbourg to Mont Saint-Michel, and 230 km of greenways (voies vertes) in La Manche, Normandy.  Maps & guides are available here.
We offer secure storage for bikes, a good meal and some beers in the fridge, so there's no need to go out when you arrive.

There is plenty of climbing for every level... from climbing walls in  Saint-Lo  to an 8m artificial rock near Cherbourg, to sport climbing in Le Thuit

Brilliant back roads, sweeping bends, wonderful scenery, and light traffic make Normandy ideal country for biking.  A beer stacked fridge and hearty meal at the end of the day makes us a great, biker-friendly, central location to explore from.
Great routes to ride here, or let us know you're coming and we can arrange to come out with you.

With more than 40 golf courses to choose from you will not be short of inspiration.  Golfers can book green fees online or even a Normandy Golf Pass if planning ahead.  Normandy Tourism Website has lots of info on our golf courses.
